Sheriff's Department: Pistol Carry Permits

Applications for a permit to carry a concealed weapon in Georgia may be completed at the Probate Court office in the Peach County Courthouse, 205 West Church Street, Fort Valley, Ga, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The fee for a permit is $70 and the permit is valid for five years. Once the application is completed and the fee is paid, fingerprints are taken at the Sheriff’s Office at 1007 Spruce Street, Fort Valley, Ga. There is no fee for the fingerprinting.
