Legal Technician – Part-Time: 20 Hours per Week

The purpose of this position is to provide clerical support in the District Attorney’s Office. Duties include but are not limited to answering department telephones and directing calls appropriately; greeting customers and visitors; establishing and maintaining department databases, automated files, and computer records; typing letters, forms, correspondence, and reports; collecting, researching, and/or compiling information for reports, charts, forms, and other documents; and maintaining files of department correspondence, program records, and legal documents.
Qualifications: This is an entry-level position. High school diploma or GED required. Two (2) years previous word processing, telephone reception, filing, or related clerical experience or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job is preferred. Applicants qualifying for the selection process may be subject to computer skills testing. Applicant must pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
