Georgia Forestry Commission

The mission of the Georgia Forestry Commission is to provide leadership, service, and education in the protection and conservation of Georgia's forest resources. Peach County is in District 5 which also serves Bibb and Crawford Counties. Steve Miller is the senior chief ranger for the district. Peach County covers 96,700 acres, of which 40,900 acres, or 42.30 percent, is covered by forest.
